RED FLAGS WHEN BUYING A HOME

What should trigger basic alarms when looking at a home to buy? Drive through the community to see if there is an abundance of homes are for sale, maybe something is up?  Look at other homes front yards decor and upkeep. Even store fronts closed down nearby, maybe something is not right?  Drive through the community when it is raining to look for water flow and flooding. Take a good look at the roof, gutters from all angles. Look at butters and flow of water coming out to down spout flowing.

INSIDE HOME

At the house look at each room ceilings and all walls, very close for water stains and closely at any type of repairs. This can stem from a roof leak, air conditioner or bathroom leaks. This should be disclosed by the seller on a normal sale. Run water in each sink, then look at the bottom to see if any leaks or bottom panel to feel if damp or rotted to include no water leaking out of handles. Generally a home inspector will catch these items provided you hire one which I recommend. This is also an investment by hiring a professional. I suggest use a home inspectorParents, do your homework concerning schooling. The flow of floor plan flowing to meet your family needs must work. Parking is a must to include family and guest.

HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

A street can be really congested with cars parking and on the wrong side of the road and even overnight. Get a copy of the homeowner association so that you are aware of what you can and cannot do in the community to your home with permission. Homeowners Association are generally in place to protect the valuable interest of home's and community well being. Homeowners associations fee's vary depending on what the community has to offer and a price comes with that. Ensure you choose a community that has what you and your family will utilize to take advantage of your fee. Many communities are fairly priced right when it comes to fees and amenities.
