HOME PRICES DECREASING

Home prices decreasing steadily and ongoing with ninth spike in the mortgage interest from June 2022. Obviously this is trying to push housing prices down slightly taming inflation on housing and hopefully other areas. This will certainly will bring more qualified buyers with purchase power during the spring buying season. There has been many buyers trying to tuff this matter out and make the right decision due to the pressure of rising rent cost. HOUSING INVENTORY   

The Central Florida housing inventory fell slightly from three month supply nearly to two and half months of inventory. Days on the market increased since 2019 from five to close to 40 due to increased mortgage interest rates. In the southern region reported by the National Association of Realtors sales increased 15.9% in February from January 2023. Unfortunately still a 21.3% decrease from the prior year. Median price 342k with an increase of 2.7% from a year ago.
