Home buying in the pandemic 0f 2021 is an awareness for all buyers and so real. Many excited buyers are so ready to buy a home with tempting low interest rates. With the fear and pandemic right in front of our eyes, many dying rapidly around the world elderly want to buy a home but afraid to go outside even to check their mail. This new vaccine gave much relief, however good hygiene should have already been in place prior this pandemic. This can be a stressful time for some buyer's and sellers.
We as realtors are considered mission essential, therefore we are required by law to follow the national association of realtor's code of conduct in this crisis along with state and local ordinances. With respect and safety to buyer's and homeowners Florida realtors introduced an COVID-19 Acknowledgement Form for Brokerages and or buyers and seller to sign. I am finding many buyers only want to go in vacant homes with no furniture. Many sellers are requiring all buyers must be pre-approved prior showing home. This is a thought of less traffic through seller home. Open houses are held case by case basis and covid-19 protocol is always in place.
This varies slightly from State to State. Realtors show up 30 minutes prior to sanitize all door knobs and light switches. Buyers are aware to wear mask and buyers not to touch anything so that no contact made. Request all homeowners, family and guest to vacate homes while showing. Upon leaving we should sanitize keys and lockbox.
Virtual tours are widely available to realistically see a tour of home just like you are walking through the home. 3D technology using matter port goes even more deeper with overlays and 360 viewing. Face time has hit it big with buyers as well.
