Water parks in Central Florida are abundant and so much fun for adults and kids of all ages to visit and cool off. Disney has several. Typhoon Lagoon creates waves the size of a tsunami with a big stormy sound that will catch you by surprise! Plenty of lifeguards are on duty. Wonderful job on artificial beaches as well and no need for shoes. You can feel very lazy on the lazy river. The lazy river can make your day after walking a lot at all the theme parks. If you like to lounge, the chairs awaits for you. Check into specials on annual passes which is a great deal! Also check into Disney passes that can include all water parks. This place will make you sleep very good at night too, and don't forget to check out the water slides! Food is a thumbs up! Watch for crowds and long weekends at any of these parks due to many tourists and times of the season. There are several facilities available for showering and changing clothes. Kiddie parks are available. Swimsuits policies are not enforced. I find that the best times are Thanksgiving and around Christmas with minimum lines. If you like to rent a cabana they are available, however book well in advance. Cabana #2 in the back is more private and a bit more shade. Lockers and towels are available and easy to rent. As in any park, get there early once opening.
Blizzard Beach is another, great food and park for all ages! Theme is a ski resort with chair lifts. One may say attention to detail throughout this park on how pristine the landscaping. Lot's of talk about the Summit Plummet water ride if you are brave enough, this water ride will give you a wedgie out of this world and you will laugh it off! The Slush Gusher is another great family ride. All types of water slide rides are available for all ages. Many brag about the Blizzard margarita that you must try. Plenty of tubes to go around for all ages.
Refreshments are always a plus at any water park. The Gondola ski lift will show you a fantastic view of the park. Many different varieties of food for all taste buds. As always, almost every water park has a lazy river so you can be just plain lazy, lifeguards are abundant. Changing rooms, lockers to rent and showers are available. There is a family raft you absolutely must try and many shady areas. The smell of food in this park will crave your glands. There is a specific section for toddlers which is great for families with children 5 and under. Check for updates on annual passes. Enjoy a family exciting raft ride on team boat springs.
Universal Volcano Bay, this new park has water rides that will make sure you open your mouth wide when going down! You can view this right off of Interstate 4. What is called a four person Krakatau Aqua Coaster ride that winds, twist and turns in the volcano and drops you in blue, green waters. Other water rides are Kala Nui Serpentine Body Slides is a swift ride for two people. The ultimate is the Ohyah and Ohno Drop Slides will give you a rush like you never had on the water. Watch out for the TeAwa Fearless River that is the talk of the town. Don't forget to visit the wave pool that can toss you to and fro if you are not paying attention. The Puka Uli Lagoon is excellent for little ones to enjoy while the parents can have a bit of rest and relaxation.
Aquatica Orlando is also a great park for families of all ages. As in many water parks the lazy river is relaxing after being on your feet all day long. Security is impressive at this water park. Unfortunately, reviews are good for this park, although many had a great time. Many are still inclined to go back. The water slides are exceptional for all ages. Park has two wave pools and less crowded than others. At this time you also have the option to bundle with Sea World on tickets. Lifeguards are always available, cabanas are always available to rent. This park is very easy to navigate with family. If you do not like a lot of crows, this is definitely the park to visit and not a pocket buster. The big tube slide and drop slide are thrilling.
Sea World has a new roller coaster named Ice Breaker, a thrilling orange roller coaster for the family. For a minute and thirty seconds you will scream for up to 50mph backwards and forwards. Opening this spring of 2020.
